This year the Mrs. Pina Marinucci and her family, Sandra, Donna, and Mario will be recognized for their service to the Holy Rosary Church community.  NOTE that there is a limited number of tickets!

The third installment of the popular concert series about songs of the Italian migration to America, will take place on Sunday, March 10 in Casa Italiana at 1:00 p.m.

Jazz Italian Style

The Abruzzo and Molise Heritage Society (AMHS) hosts Georgetown University professor and author Anna Harwell Celenza at Casa Italiana Sociocultural Center.  Professor Celenza, author of the book  “Jazz Italian Style,”  will discuss jazz from its origins in New Orleans to fascist Italy to Frank Sinatra.   This should be a wonderful program for music lovers and history buffs!  The lunch will be catered by Osteria da Nino. Cost for members $20, nonmembers: $25

Book Presentation:  "Bitter Chicory to Sweet Espresso" by Carmine Vittoria

Carmine Vittoria is a Professor Emeritus in the studies of Microwave Magnetic Materials and the author of three scientific books, one soccer book and over 400 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is Life Fellow of the IEEE (Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineering), Fellow of the APS (American Physical Society) and received many scientific awards.


"Bitter Chicory to Sweet Espresso" is his first non-scientific book. He believes that the full story of WW II in the Naples area is yet to be told. The book sheds light on some of the events of that time.

Bella Italia Market

This inaugural edition of the Bella Italia Market, to be held on Dec. 1 and Dec. 2, 2018, will establish our presence as an annual event in the Washington DC area. At the same time, the Market will provide resources to the Casa Italiana Sociocultural Center, a meeting place for Italians and lovers of Italian in the area.
