Our sincere thanks to artist Cianne Fragione for donating her exciting work Reliquary to the CISC, Inc. Robert A. Facchina Italian American Museum of Washington, DC (IAMDC). Cianne, who is of Sicilian descent and a parishioner at Holy Rosary Church, is a highly successful professional painter and assemblage artist. Reliquary, which is on view in the museum gallery, evokes a wall in an Italian village church piled high with personal objects.

Cianne travels to Italy often for professional fellowships and artistic inspiration. She has exhibited nationally and internationally and her work is included in numerous permanent collections. “I am captivated by beauty, always, but at the same time I also want the rhythms of life to seep into my imagery and constructive procedures.” (www.ciannefragione.com)

Local Italian American artists are invited to join the impressive list of artists who have already donated their works to the Italian American Museum of Washington DC galleries. For further information, please contact: IAMDC Director, Liz DiGregorio at louiserayburn@yahoo.com
