Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Amb. Marco Peronaci welcomed to DC

Italian American Museum of Washington DC president, Francesco Isgro, was among the guests who welcomed Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani and Ambassador Marco Peronaci to DC at Villa Firenze last evening. Ambassador Peronaci, now posted in Brussels, is Italy’s incoming

ree

ambassador to Washington, as outgoing Ambassador Mariangela Zappia’s term ended earlier this month. In a conversation with Minister Tajani and Ambassador Peronaci, Isgro welcomed them to the capital and invited the diplomats to pay a visit to the Italian American Museum and the Casa Italiana community. Ambassador Peronaci replied that he looks forward to touring IAMDC when he officially assumes his post in Washington in September.

We look forward to working with Ambassador Peronaci and thank again Ambassador Zappia for her service in Washington. In the interim, the Embassy of Italy is under the capable leadership of Minister Alessandro Gonzales, Deputy Chief of Mission.
